"Call me by your name" - After watching this beautiful film I knew there was something special about Italy. Little did I know I will travel there a few months later! When I got off the train in Crema, coffee at the Piazza del Duomo was the first thing I had on my mind. Afterwards I wandered the quiet back streets with no destination in mind. Whilst walking I could hear angelic singing coming from a church nearby and church bells ringing. When I got closer to the piazza again, I was just surrounded by locals cycling and sitting at cafes enjoying their coffee without another tourist insight! Italy takes you by the hand and shows you beautiful ordinary life and I’m so happy I got a taste of it!
Here’s my collection of beautiful moments during my summer time in Italy:
Scenic landscapes
You can’t escape the mesmerizing landscapes that surround you in Italy, and boy you don’t want to! The romantic hillsides and picturesque cities made me never want to leave.
Charming Cafes
The best way to cool off in the Italian summer is to indulge in some side street café relaxing. Grab a spritzer and watch the world go by.
Quaint little streets
I don’t always get lost in backstreets, but when I do it’s on beautiful, narrow and winding roads in Italy.
Good food & wine
There’s just something about the sound of “buon appetite” that excites me, usually because it’s near impossible not to enjoy a meal in Italy. Not to mention the vino.
Dreamy shops
How can you resist all the dreamy shops in Italy? Well…you don’t. From fresh food shops to gorgeous little clothing shops, Italy has it all.
Beauty
In abundance. Beauty is everywhere you look in Italy! From ancient doors and urban greenery to character filled architecture and breathtaking art. This must be where Italian designers get their inspiration from.
